What Do You Want To Be?
As we ended our workshop last Friday, our facilitator gave us an assignment. “During the next 3 days, I want to challenge you to think of a vision for yourself. Find out who do you really want to be.”

Contributors will get 3 free GCs if they get featured on this blog. You can submit any blog post on any topic you want, but keep the following rules in mind:
1. The first rule of Fight Club is you DO NOT talk about Fight Club. Talk about something else. Seriously, Palahniuk’s book was published 14 years ago. Find something more recent and timely to borrow quotes from, such as the ground-breaking film Bituing Walang Ningning.

A few years ago I was asked by my then-company’s president to attend the grand opening of one of their branches at Anonas because his assistant was unavailable. They lent me one of the office’s digital cameras and told me to 1.) help my supervisor cover the event, 2.) take as many pictures as I can 3.) and make sure I get clear shots of the celebrities who were invited, particularly Alyssa Alano and Joey Marquez, who were both invited to cut the ribbon.
I had to take one of the chairs outside and stand on it because my first few shots show nothing but the backs of people.

It may come as a surprise to some people, but I don’t have any clout at Essays.ph. I don’t create the rules and policies that EPH has in place. In fact, I will admit that the company implements policies that I don’t necessarily agree with. For those policies, I don’t sit idly by – I immediately provide helpful suggestions and constructive criticism by writing a terse, scathing email and sending it to CyberPaul using my fake hotmail account, jao_romero@hotmail.com.

Being a Ghost
by Jao Romero
Part of a ghostwriter’s job is being invisible, hiding back in the shadows and never revealing our true identities. To claim our work defeats our purpose. We’re here to ghost for someone else and not to gloat for ourselves. If we want recognition, it would’ve been wise to choose another writing profession where bylines and authorship is par for the course. While ghostwriters are allowed to cite their work in their resumes or as part of a job application, publicly claiming a ghostwritten work goes against the ghostwriter’s code.

I’m aware of the things that chickaywrites mentioned in her recent blog post. It’s just that I haven’t thought about it much so I can’t add anything. I can see where she’s coming from; I have seen several writers who are too loud or pa-bibo for comfort, but as long as they’re not causing enough trouble to disrupt EPH’s operations and as long as people are not attacking the staff directly, I don’t mind.

I recently sold my Neo Basic B3300 netbook, less than a month after buying it.
It’s not that I wasn’t satisfied with the performance or that it’s cruddy and prone to breakage; I got the thing for a whole lot less than other branded notebooks with similar specs so it gets a free pass for being poorly made, which is a moot point because the netbook was NOT substandard.

From time to time, we still come across users who are having problems zipping their files, in the sense that they find the zipping utility they downloaded too difficult to understand (or they don’t actually have a zipping utility and are asking us where they can download one.)

An Ode to the Writers Cafeteria
I am sorry to say this, but I don’t want to write another essay about “My EPH adventure”. Not that I don’t want to share my own experience here, but I think there are more entertaining topics to talk about for the next five minutes. Although I cannot guarantee you that you will have a good time, I just hope that you will at least stay awake until the end of this crappy post. So here I begin.
