Of Mirrors and Plagiarism

August 12

If we were connected via FB (which is unlikely because I practically do not exist there), you’d know that my recent status shouts out how I  hate dislike those who mirror me. I have also blogged about this before (in my dormant Wordpress page) – I have always been a favorite target for impersonation.

For the life of me, I have no idea why me. Read the rest of this entry »

MindVille: Where Dreams Are Staged

July 29

What I look forward to most whenever I watch a good movie is the discussion I have with my partner in the car on the way home afterwards. Read the rest of this entry »

Let There Be Light! (The Brighter Side of Power Outage)

July 15

Tell me… When there’s power outage, how long before you start going crazy? How long before you feel that itch to go out and just spend some time in the mall instead?

Random Reviews (Rants?)

July 8

Yes, the theme for this week is random reviews. I meant to write something about a restaurant I’ve been to lately (because that is what’s scheduled on the editorial calendar), but I’m making a detour. Read the rest of this entry »

A Literary Buffet

Have you ever thought about how you can compare the different kinds of assignments in EPH to something that everyone can relate to? Personally, I find writing for EPH to be nothing more than sheer pleasure (no one likes a suck-up). I’ve encountered sets that I have never thought I would be researching on and read about, let alone write about. That was when I realized that the sets we see each day on the assignment sections are no different from food. Yes, food.

Insert Title Here

June 10

There is no excuse for the lack of creativity I impress upon you this Thursday. Like any human, this online freelancing Pinay admits to feeling lazy. When this mood strikes, I just give in (it will be futile to fight it, anyway).

Now, this made me wonder. For all those times that I have reviewed articles with lazy titles, I haven’t really considered if the writers were just not “in the zone” when they finished their work or they simply ignored the importance of providing the headline.

Next Station: Araneta Center, Cubao

June 3

If you commute, you must really appreciate the LRT (Light Rail Transit) and the MRT (Metro Rail Transit). They take you to your destination (along and around EDSA, Taft, or Aurora Boulevard) faster than when you take your own car or ride the bus or taxi. Read the rest of this entry »
